Does Brontwell support halal, kosher, or other religious diets?

Yes — you can mark halal, kosher, or other religious dietary requirements in any profile, and Brontwell will flag ingredients and products accordingly.

When you set a dietary requirement such as "halal" or "kosher" for a profile, Brontwell's ingredient analysis will surface potential conflicts — for example, flagging gelatin of unknown origin, E471 (mono- and diglycerides that may be animal-derived), L-Cysteine (E920), or alcohol-based flavourings.

An important disclaimer: Brontwell flags potential conflicts based on common interpretations of halal or kosher standards. It does not replace certification from a recognised religious authority. For any product where certification matters to you, always verify against an official halal or kosher certification body.

Brontwell also supports vegetarian, vegan, Jain, and custom dietary restrictions. You can set different requirements for different family members — for example, halal for a parent and nut-free for a child.
